Protect Children from Toxic Chemicals

You know as well as anyone that kids should be protected from toxic chemicals. On June 11, you have an opportunity to tell your legislators in person to protect Michigan children.

Please join us in Lansing for a Children's Environmental Health Policy Day, Wednesday, June 11th. You will team up with children's environmental health advocates for individual meetings with lawmakers from across the state to encourage them to protect children from toxics. We will provide you with all the information you need ahead of time to make these meetings simple, effective, and interesting.

The day will begin with a breakfast and a presentation from lawmakers about current and proposed policies to protect children's health. Following the breakfast, teams will meet with Michigan Representatives and Senators to ask for support on several important bills to protect kids from toxics.

The June 11 events will run from 8:15 AM - 4:00 PM. We welcome you to join us all day or for whatever part of the day you are available. If you would like to participate, or if you would like more information, please contact me at 734-761-3186 ext. 108, or mikes@ecocenter.org.
