Center for Child Environmental Health Risks Research, University of Washington
As part of the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences, this multi-disciplinary team formed to learn more about children's susceptibility to pesticides and the way pesticides affect normal development and learning.

Center for Children's Health and the Environment
As part of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, this academic research and policy center develops strategies to prevent learning disabilities, asthma, obesity and cancer by protecting children from environmental toxins. They work with state and federal leaders as well as with the World Health Organization and conduct research on the health hazards of pesticides, persistent organic pollutants, heavy metals and air pollutants.

ATSDR is an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that serves the public by using the best science, taking responsive public health actions, and providing trusted health information to prevent harmful exposures and disease related to toxic substances. U.S. HUD Healthy Homes and Lead Hazard Control
Provides funds to state and local governments to develop cost-effective ways to reduce lead-based paint hazards. The office enforces the U.S. Housing and Urban Development's lead-based paint regulations, provides public outreach and technical assistance, and conducts technical studies to help protect children and their families from health and safety hazards in the home. This agency also conducts the "Healthy Homes for Healthy Kids" campaign, a three-year, 30-city outreach effort to inform parents about health and safety hazards in the home. These can include lead paint, mold, moisture, and pests like mice and cockroaches.
